Origin & Production:
Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin is distilled in India by Radico Khaitan, one of the country’s oldest distilleries. It is a premium London Dry style gin made in traditional copper pot stills. Inspired by the historic city of Jaisalmer, known as the “Golden City,” the gin blends heritage with craft. The recipe uses 11 botanicals, of which 7 are sourced directly from India — including coriander, vetiver, orange peel, cubeb pepper, lemon grass, and Darjeeling green tea. These indigenous botanicals are combined with classic gin staples like juniper to create a uniquely Indian expression. Distilled carefully in small batches, the gin reflects balance, authenticity, and complexity.
Tasting Notes:
The nose opens with crisp juniper and citrus zest, followed by earthy vetiver and a delicate tea-like note. On the palate, the gin is smooth and layered, offering coriander spice, liquorice, and pepper alongside lemon peel brightness. The botanicals create a warm yet refreshing taste profile that is versatile across cocktails. The finish is clean, slightly spicy, and lingering, with a touch of citrus and herbal complexity.
Serving Suggestion:
Best enjoyed as a classic Gin & Tonic, paired with premium Indian tonic water and garnished with orange peel or a slice of cucumber. It also elevates cocktails like Negronis, Gimlets, and Martinis, or can be savoured neat with ice to appreciate its distinctive Indian botanical character.
