M. Chapoutier
M. Chapoutier Deschants Saint-Joseph White Wine 12.5%
Origin & Production:
From the prestigious Northern Rhône region of France, this white Saint-Joseph is made entirely from Marsanne grapes grown on steep granite slopes. Hand-harvested for optimal ripeness, the grapes undergo gentle pressing and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks before partial maturation in oak barrels. This process imparts both freshness and complexity, staying true to M. Chapoutier’s biodynamic principles.
Tasting Notes:
Pale gold with green reflections, it opens with elegant aromas of white peach, pear, honeysuckle, and a hint of almond. On the palate, it is fresh yet texturally rich, offering layers of citrus zest, stone fruits, and subtle notes of hazelnut. The balanced acidity ensures vibrancy, while the mineral undertone reflects its granite terroir. The finish is long, smooth, and delicately creamy.
Serving Suggestion:
Serve lightly chilled at 10–12°C. It pairs beautifully with seafood such as scallops or lobster, roasted chicken, and creamy pasta dishes.
