Origin & Production:
Plessis Duval Saumur Champigny hails from the Loire Valley, France, a region renowned for producing expressive Cabernet Franc wines. Crafted exclusively from hand-harvested Cabernet Franc grapes grown in limestone-rich soils, the wine is fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and aged briefly to enhance its vibrant character without masking varietal purity.
Tasting Notes:
Bright garnet in color, this wine reveals aromas of red currants, raspberries, and violets, underpinned by subtle herbal notes of bell pepper and fresh thyme. On the palate, it is light to medium-bodied with lively acidity, offering flavors of juicy red berries, cranberry, and a touch of spice. The tannins are fine and silky, making it easy-drinking yet elegant, with a crisp, clean finish.
Serving Suggestion:
Serve slightly chilled, around 14–15 °C, to highlight its freshness. It pairs wonderfully with grilled white meats, charcuterie, and goat cheese, or as an accompaniment to lighter Mediterranean-style dishes.
