Origin & Production:
Togouchi is a unique Japanese blended whisky produced by Chugoku Jozo in Hiroshima. A blend of malt and grain whiskies imported and aged in an abandoned railway tunnel, it benefits from the cool, humid environment that ensures slow, steady maturation.
Tasting Notes:
Light amber in color, with aromas of honey, green apple, and soft peat. The palate reveals sweet vanilla, delicate spice, and a whisper of smoke, with a smooth, balanced body. The finish is gentle and slightly sweet with lingering malt notes.
Serving Suggestion:
Perfect neat or with a splash of water to open its complexity, and excellent for refined whisky highballs.
