Origin & Production:
Hennessy V.S.O.P (Very Superior Old Pale) is a renowned Cognac from the Cognac region of France, blending over 60 eaux-de-vie from Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies, and Fins Bois. Created in 1817 at the request of the future King George IV of England, it is aged up to 15 years in French oak casks, developing a harmonious balance between strength and smoothness. The oak comes from the Limousin forest, imparting subtle spice and depth.
Tasting Notes:
Amber in color, with a rich bouquet of vanilla, clove, cinnamon, and dried apricots. The palate offers a refined blend of ripe fruit, honey, and mild peppery spice, supported by a silky texture and gentle warmth. The finish is long and elegant, with lingering notes of toasted oak and candied orange peel.
Serving Suggestion:
Best enjoyed neat in a tulip glass to concentrate aromas, or over ice for a smoother experience. It also elevates premium cocktails such as the Sidecar or Old Fashioned.
